Meet The Crew

Trent V. Murphy, D.V.M

Veterinary medicine has always been a large part of Dr. Murphy’s life. From the time he was a small child, he spent many hours working with his father, Vance Murphy, D.V.M at Clear Lake City Veterinary Clinic. However, once he graduated from Texas A&M with his degree in veterinary medicine, Dr. Murphy had the opportunity to work along side his father as a colleague.

Bayside Animal Hospital was a dream three years in the making. The dream was completed on March 14, 2005 when Dr. Murphy opened Bayside Animal Hospital’s doors for business. Dr. Murphy brings with him ten years of experience from various Houston area small animal practices. He has worked hard to make Bayside Animal Hospital a caring, friendly, state-of-the-art facility. Dr. Murphy doesn’t just work hard, he plays hard as well. He enjoys martial arts; in fact he is a second degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. He’s an avid wind surfer, a bicyclist, and spends his down time practicing yoga.

Dr. Murphy and his wife Trish, who owns and operates the Bayside Bed and Biscuit next door, live in Clear Lake Shores with a home (zoo) full of pets. They have Tank their new yellow lab, an Iguana named Iggy, two Jack Russel Terriers named Valentine and Joss, and two cats; a Domestic Short Hair named Monkey and a Manx named Ashley.

Dale Shepherd, D.V.M

Dr. Shepherd has wanted to be a veterinarian as for long as he can remember. He comes to Bayside Animal Hospital with nine years of veterinary experience. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M in 1996, Dr. Shepherd began working for a mixed animal practice (small and large animals) and has since worked in several Houston area practices.

Dr. Shepherd, his wife Mary, and their beautiful daughter Hannah share their home with Cooter, a faithful Weimaraner Lab companion whom Dr. Shepherd is rarely seen without, and Sassy, a Domestic Long Hair cat. In his off time, Dr. Shepherd can be found salt water fishing. He is happy to be an important part of Bayside Animal Hospital.

Cynthia Borda, Receptionist

Cynthia has always been a dog lover, especially dachshunds! Cynthia and her husband share their home with a very dainty dachshund named Krissy (Shhhhh…don’t tell Krissy, she doesn’t know she’s a dog!) Cynthia brings her years of customer service experience and a caring touch to Bayside!

In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys pampering her dog and spending time with family and friends. She is so happy to be a part of your pet’s healthcare team!

Rachel Deaner, Receptionist

Rachel is a member of our friendly reception staff ready to assist you with your pets. Rachel joined the Bayside Animal Hospital team after moving to Kemah from Pennsylvania where she managed an OBGYN lab for 2 years. Rachel has been around animals for as long as she can remember; her family runs an animal shelter in her hometown of Millville Pennsylvania.

Rachel shares her home and her heart with her 2 dogs; a miniature schnauzer named Emma and an American bulldog named Rio. At any time you may find a needy animal using Rachel’s home as a refuge. Rachel is excited to meet you and help you with your pet’s healthcare needs.

Christina Strickland, Veterinary Nurse

Christina has been working in the animal health field for more than ten years. She joins the Bayside Animal Hospital team after working as an emergency veterinary nurse for animal clinics in Houston, League City, Seattle, and Maryland. Christina has also worked for exotic animal practices in the Seattle area and in Houston and for a wildlife hospital in Maryland.

Christina, her husband Dorian, and their young daughter Morgan, live in Pearland. There they share their home with three furry kids, a Dachshund mix named Cosmo, a Domestic Short Hair named Nöpö (pronounced Nepa), and a very energetic Catahoula Leopard dog mix named Marble. Christina is very excited to be part of the Bayside Animal Hospital family!

Teresa Angeloro, Veterinary Nurse

Teresa brings with her to Bayside Animal Hospital more than ten years experience in the veterinary field. She is very excited to join the Bayside family after having worked with two local veterinary practices in the Friendswood-Clear Lake area. She has experience in both emergency practices and day practices facilities. Teresa was born and raised in the Houston area and she is happiest when she is near the waterfront.

When not at Bayside Animal Hospital, Teresa spends her free time caring for a number of furry companions. Living with her is her trusted Yellow Lab Boogie, Lucy, a Pomeranian and four kitties, Flounder, Mr. Bean, Biscuit and her newest addition Porkchop. She feels that she is a perfect fit with the Bayside Animal Hospital family.
